Color Exterior
The Mercedes-Benz 280 SL was the last and most powerful stage in the development of the legendary W 113 model series, which was introduced in 1963 as the successor to the 190 SL and 300 SL. It owes its nickname "Pagoda", which is still known today, to the characteristic inwardly curved hardtop. With its safety body, stable passenger compartment and defined crumple zones, the roadster also set new standards in its class.
The 280 SL, introduced in 1967, is powered by a 2.8-litre six-cylinder engine with 170 hp and combines superior driving performance with the elegant character of a classic Mercedes-Benz roadster. According to the data card, this example presents itself in its original delivery specification with dark green paintwork and a leather interior in cognac.
The vehicle was imported from the USA in November 2018 and then fully restored between 2020 and 2022. The return to the original colour combination and the extensive restoration make this 280 SL Pagoda a particularly harmonious representative of the W 113 series.
